2. Client Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk
A. Pre-Existing Conditions
We will inspect jewelry items and may advise clients of any observed weaknesses, damage, or security concerns.
Recommendations regarding structural integrity, stone settings, or other safety concerns are provided for your protection.
Declining recommended repairs may result in future damage, stone loss, or complete failure of the jewelry.
B. Inherent Risks of Jewelry Work
All jewelry work involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: metal fatigue, stone damage, stone loss, discoloration, and potential structural failure.
Repeated work on any jewelry gradually thins the metal through filing, sanding, and polishing.
Sizing, soldering, and modifications may affect structural integrity.
Certain gemstones and materials may be damaged by heat, chemicals, or mechanical processes required for jewelry work.
C. Design and Sizing Decisions
Custom sizing and modifications are made based on your specific requests and measurements taken at the time of service.
Ring sizing calculations for multiple bands/rings joined together are based on professional standards and client preferences.
Clients are provided an opportunity to try on and approve the fit and appearance of their jewelry before final acceptance.
3. Service-Specific Notices
Clients will be informed of any observed structural weaknesses or risks.
Declining repairs such as worn prong reinforcement increases the risk of stone loss.
Separating soldered rings may cause misalignment, increased wear, and potential damage over time.
Repeated modifications will gradually thin the metal.
Jewelry fit and appearance must be checked and approved by the client upon collection.
4. Orders, Estimates & Payments
A 50% deposit is required to begin any custom or repair work.
Estimates are based on initial inspection; additional costs must be approved before proceeding.
